Responsibilities of the mechanic include, but are not limited to, repairing diesel and gas engines, as well as, repairing electrical, cooling, hydraulic/brake, fuel, and air conditioning systems. Requirements of a county mechanic include, but are not limited to, maintaining a current class a commercial driver’s license and an insurable driving record. Interested applicants must be willing to be on call 24 hours for emergency situations.
